452 AD "The Scourge of God" at the Po River
June 452: Attila marched up the Danube setting fire and vanquishing the wilderness. The "Scourge of God" advanced on Rome onto a lightly guarded populace. Leo was there to negotiate with a known terrorist. The contest seemed unequal, one had Christ, the other had mighty warriors well seasoned in conquest. Leo (Vicar of Christ)stood firmly.
